Who is Chris Bensted?

Chris Bensted became a Driving Instructor in 2008 and rapidly found himself voicing his frustration with the industry. He started building networks of instructors around the country and trying to encourage change.

He soon became a sought after resource and a respected source of information in the industry, known for his alternative understanding, approaches and views. Chris has worked with many companies including Marmalade Insurance, James May’s Theory Test, and MyDriveTime as well as appearing on Sky, BBC, ITV, KMTV and other broadcasting outlets.

Co-founder of Better Driver Training Chris spent over a decade delivering traditional practical lessons in a very non-traditional way. He had a reputation for different and was often approached to work with additional needs pupils.

COVID became Chris’ inspiration to tackle the theory test head on and specialise in theory training. His insight and vision combined with his understanding of additional needs was a perfect combination. He now applies this with his natural approach of challenging norms to produce engaging theory training that focuses on Why not What.
